To resolve deep underlying issues, you should work with a skilled practitioner, they will know how to ask the right questions and listen effectively in order to help you pinpoint and eliminate the specific problem. The symptom that you want to treat will often have a deep root cause that seems completely unrelated.

Tapping is extremely gentle and does not usually require bravery or the facing up to a problem to resolve it. This is because the tapping procedure eliminates the energetic blocks attached to the problem. This allows any stored negative emotions to be released. Therefore, it is very effective in dealing with trauma, fear, phobia, grief and other issues that could be hard to face up to.
